  1. Bob Casey, exiles legend! I also think Armitage was very undervalued for england, even at the world cup he got tries and gave solid performances.

  2. Anyone who says Armitage has never performed at international level is having a laugh. He was England’s best player in 2009 and should have gone on the Lions tour. He is a class act and if he could sort out his disciplinary issues would be one of the first names on the teamsheet. It is a shame that Lancaster has his old Leeds club which allows Callum Clark and Danny Care to remain involved in spite of their indiscretions, while one of the most talented players in the land has been exiled to FRA

  3. I agree with Wade going, he’s a sick finisher and got ridiculous pace but saying Armitage has never performed internationally isn’t true, preliminary world cup games? He played well and was chosen ahead of Foden at full back for the world cup and I’d say he played well enough to keep him in the squad, he’d probably still be playing if he’d learn to bloody behave himself! Ahh well just gotta see now

  4. well Christian Wade is sure to be on the plane with the way his season went. Ashton isn’t at his best but he can stand in an international match, as can Strettle (I agree they weren’t spectacular in the six nations though). Armitage has always been a club player, he’s never really shown brilliance on the international stage.

  5. Yeah his disciplinary records shocking but really what wings are better? Strettle wasn’t anything special in this years six nations neither was Ashton and Charlie Sharples has flashes of brilliance but apart from that..

  6. you’re kidding right? He’s no full back and as a wing, we’ve got PLENTY that are miles better than him. Not to mention his disciplinary record.
