Halani Aulika would be opting for Sale Sharks in the forthcoming summer season. Halani is known as the Tonga prop who will be leaving the London Irish this summer.
He has spent about four years with the club. Being 32 years of age, he has confirmed that he would be departing from this team. This came after the club was relegated from being part of the Aviva Premiership league. The club which is based in Reading will surely have to find a suitable player to take his place.
Meanwhile Sale boss is happy with having him over. Steve Diamonds, the boss of Sale Sharks admitted that he was glad that he got the opportunity to sign on this tight head of 6 ft 3 in and weighing 120 kg.
He stated that he had been watching the performance of Aulika during this season. Hence, when Halani’s agent got in touch with him, he agreed to the transfer promptly. Steve feels that Halani is all over the pitch and takes on the role of a scrummager. He is confident that Halani will prove to be a good asset for the coming season and hopefully more of them.
There are several moments which stand out in favor of Aulika. For instance, he played admirably well in the game against Worcester. There are pictures of Nick Schonert tackling Aulika. For the first time London Irish will be dropped out of the top tournament of English rugby. It is definitely a first for the team since 1994. The team however has stage matches to play. They would be doing so at the Madejski stadium at Reading. They would be biding their time as they wait to get their position back in the Premiership games and utilize the time to improve their performance on the field.
